Overview:

Grandly proportioned and recently enhanced, ms Ryndam offers an onboard experience defined by spacious comfort, and the latest Signature of Excellence features and amenities. From the wonders of Spain, Italy, Greece, Croatia and Montenegro, this itinerary with its out of the way ports is one of the most interesting trips you can take. In addition you will be able to listen to two of the hottest bands on the jazz scene today. They will entertain you daily with at least four hours of music.

Musicians:
CORNET CHOP SUEY, TOM RIGNEY and FLAMBEAU, PIETER MEIJERS QUARTET with Randy Morris, Dick Maley, Mark Elton featuring Ms Nina Ferro.


Cornet Chop Suey: This band has a unique sound with co-leaders Brian Casserly and Tom Tucker on trumpet. The band is known for its variety of styles and they will switch from traditional jazz to swing, blues and big production numbers. Their high energy performances are always memorable for their audience.

Tom Rigney and Flambeau: Tom Rigney leads a band that generates enough heat and energy to ignite a dance floor. The band’s charismatic stage presence and wonderful repertoire, from Cajun, Zydeco to Boogie Woogie by Caroline Dahl and lovely ballads by Tom, usually leads to standing room only. Guest clarinetist Pieter Meijers will be onboard and will provide guest performances. You can hear him on clarinet, soprano and tenor saxophones.

The Pieter Meijers Quartet.
The Quartet has been together for 18 years and plays several jazz cruises and festivals a year. They frequently feature a popular jazz vocalist.

Pieter Meijers.
Pieter plays clarinet, soprano and tenor saxophones. Born and educated in Holland he received a classical education but switched to jazz in college.

Nina Ferro.
Nina, Australian born, now living in England, is a multi award winning vocalist, whose warm sensuous voice, impeccable timing and incredible vocal range has made her internationally known.

Randy Morris .
Randy started in Disneyland, California as a ragtime piano man. For more than 25 years he was a resident musician and arranger at Disney World in Florida. He has been a member of the Quartet since the beginning.

Mark Elton
A highly regarded musician in the Melbourne Jazz scene, Mark has established himself as one of Australia's leading bassists. He also frequently tours in Europe. In the US he is mostly known as the bassist in the Hotter Than Six and the Fireworks jazz bands.

Dick Maley
Drummer Dick Maley has for many years been associated with Disney World in Florida. Admired for his steady swing style he is also an accomplished singer.
